1. Studio Visits & Remote Consultations

Do I need an appointment to visit the Toronto studio?

Yes, we strongly recommend booking an appointment in advance. Our Toronto studio operates around scheduled private consultations to give each bride dedicated attention.

While casual visits depend on team availability, a pre-booked appointment guarantees expert guidance for bridal viewings, measurement sessions, and complex customisation discussions.

What should I bring to my bridal consultation?

Bring mood boards, reference photographs or screenshots of styles you like, your preferred colour swatches, jewelry inspiration, and the approximate heel height you plan to wear on your wedding day.

Sharing your wedding date and event schedule helps our consultants advise on appropriate fabric weights, embroidery density, and delivery timelines.

Can I see fabrics and embroidery samples in person?

Yes. During your studio appointment, you can examine raw silk, organza, tissue, net, and velvet swatches, along with physical examples of Zardozi, Dabka, Tilla, and Resham embroidery.

This is crucial when deciding between fabric finishes, as textures absorb and reflect light differently under event lighting.

Can I have a WhatsApp or video consultation if I cannot visit Toronto?

Yes. We work extensively with brides across Toronto, Ottawa, Bradford, Montreal, Glasgow, and internationally via WhatsApp and video calls.

Remote sessions cover design direction, fabric selection, colour matching, modesty adjustments, and measurement protocols, ensuring you receive atelier-level support from home.

2. Sizing, Measurements & Customisation Requests

How do I know which size to order?

Order based on your largest body measurement (bust, waist, or hips) when comparing against our Canada size chart (Canada 6 to Canada 24).

Bridal and formalwear typically runs 1–2 sizes smaller than high-street fashion. If your measurements span across different sizes, always select the larger size bracket or utilize our free made-to-measure service for a custom pattern draft tailored specifically to your unique proportions.

What do you need to know when I order?

When placing your order, we need to know your exact wedding or event date, your chosen colour specifications, your exact body measurements (or standard Canada size if ready-to-wear), any requested modesty or design customisations (such as higher necklines or longer sleeves), and your intended heel height.

How should I take my measurements?

Use a soft fabric measuring tape while wearing your standard undergarments or bridal shapewear. Stand naturally upright with relaxed shoulders. Measure the fullest part of your bust, the narrowest part of your natural waist, and the widest part of your hips (approx. 7–9 inches below your waist). Always double-check your numbers and keep the tape parallel to the floor.

What if I measure myself wrong?

If you realise you made an error or entered incorrect measurements, contact our customer support team immediately via phone or WhatsApp. As long as your garment has not yet entered our master cutting and tailoring queue, we can easily update your specification sheet. We also recommend having a friend or family member help you measure to eliminate errors.

Are customisation requests honoured for all brides available?

Yes, customisation requests are fully honoured and available for all brides.

Whether you need custom colour matching, full-length sleeves, higher modest necklines, skirt length modifications, or unique dupatta framing adjustments, our atelier accommodates bespoke requirements on eligible designs without extra charges for made-to-measure tailoring.

3. Production, Timelines & When to Order

How and when is my dress made?

Every Deemas Fashion garment is meticulously created to order. Once your design, color, and measurements are verified, our master artisans execute hand-embroidery (such as Zardozi, Dabka, or Resham) before handing the garment to our expert tailors for structural construction, lining installation, and rigorous multi-point quality control inspections.

When should I order my dress?

We recommend placing your bridal order 4 to 6 months in advance of your wedding date.

Standard bridal production ranges from 25 to 65 working days, depending on embroidery complexity. Ordering early guarantees ample time for sample kit reviews, artisanal crafting, shipping, and any localized final fittings.

Can you accommodate urgent or rush bridal orders?

Selected rush orders can be accommodated depending on workshop capacity, fabric availability, and embroidery complexity. Please contact our team with your exact wedding date before placing your order so we can verify if a priority production slot is open.

4. Shipping, Delivery & Costs

How much does the shipping cost and how long does delivery take?

We ship worldwide and offer both Regular and Rush shipping options for domestic (Canada) and international orders.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your destination and parcel weight. Delivery timeframes are as follows:

  • Regular Domestic (Canada): Takes about 3–6 working days.
  • Regular International: Takes about 7–15 working days (varies by country).
  • Rush Domestic (Canada): Takes about 1–2 working days.
  • Rush International: Varies from country to country (contact support for exact estimates).

5. Alterations & Fitting Support

Do you have an alterations facility? Who can alter my dress?

We have in-house seamstresses if you are based in the Canada.

However, it is easier and very common to get a local seamstress to tweak or alter your dress as they can see how the dress fits your body in person. You may also wish to alter the design elements of the dress during final fittings, and again, this is much easier to communicate directly with your local seamstress.

6. Returns, Policies & Garment Care

What is your return policy for made-to-measure dresses?

Because made-to-measure and custom-coloured garments are individually crafted to your unique specifications, they are non-returnable and non-refundable unless received with a manufacturing defect or incorrectly supplied.

We maintain rigorous multi-point quality inspections prior to dispatch to ensure specifications match your approved order notes.

How should I store and maintain my heavily embroidered bridal outfit?

Store your bridal wear in a breathable cotton garment bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing silk and velvet in sealed plastic bags. For heavy zardozi or dabka garments, professional dry cleaning by a specialist in luxury South Asian textiles is recommended when necessary.
